We provide extensive regulatory advice on asset finance, with extensive experience in the consumer finance sector. We provide advice and assistance in respect of drafting product documentation, advising on best practise and the implementation of consumer duty. Our team also has experience of asset finance litigation, enabling us to provide forward thinking advice in order to be proactive ahead of the regulatory landscape, rather than reactive in the courts.
Our lawyers have experience across a wide range of regulation within the investment sector, including advising investment managers on their regulatory obligations, financial promotions and the ever-evolving regulation of crypto assets. Our team has assisted clients with product design support to ensure clear identification of the regulatory market and that all regulatory expectations are either met or avoided to prevent regulatory intervention. We also provide firms with perimeter and permission analysis in order to help them mitigate the risk of breaching the regulations as well as ad hoc or specific business advice.
The team covers a wide mix of retail regulatory expertise, including mortgages, hire purchase agreements, consumer finance, motor finance, hire purchase and insurance. We regularly advise on new products through to drafting of product and policy documentation.
